Landon tends to get into trouble if he's not actively doing something, so I am always trying new things to keep him entertained. Here's the latest project we completed....
On a walk we picked some Queen Anne's Lace, then put them in two cups of water.
Not looking too excited about the experiment...
Landon starts to get a little more excited when he sees the colored water...
Then we let the plants soak up the colored water and watched them change colors. It's hard to tell in this picture, but they changed blue and yellow acccordingly. When Landon woke up the next morning, he came running downstairs excitedly yelling, "Mom, the flowers changed colors!"
I think he really got the concept that plants are thirsty and "drink" water. Then, when we were cleaning up we mixed the yellow water into the blue water to make green water. He thought that was pretty cool too!
