Good Gollie Miss Mollie

My best friend and roommate from college Breanne just had her first baby.  She is so excited and will be a phenominal mommy.  I am looking forward to swapping "mommy" stories with her.  I got married and started a family right after college, so she is my first close friend my age that has a family.  Here is a pic of the beautiful little Mollie!
Love her big pink bow!

Now Landon keeps telling me he wants a sister....um, better talk to your dad and God!

Wrestling Bros

Grrrrr

Landon and I were painting and he wanted to be a tiger, so I painted his face.  Here's the result....

Family Fish Fry

We recently got together with all of Josh's extended family for the fish fry in Maryville.  It was a beautiful evening and we had so much fun seeing everyone.  Landon LOVED playing with all the big kids and was in rare form.  He even told a "fish" story to the entire family.

The "Outlaws"
All the members of the Busch fam by marriage, they jokingly call them outlaws rather than in-laws

That Can't be Comfortable!

Brody opened his eyes when he heard me come in, but he slept in this position for over 2 hours!!

Car Photo Shoot

Having 2 kids has definitely cut down on my getting ready time, so I often have Josh load the boys up to give me 5 more minutes to get myself ready.  Here are some crazy photos they took while waiting.

Landon Lingo

Taking a bath....Whenever I tell him to wash his armpits, he responds...Don't forget to Wash my Feetpits (the bottom of his feet)

Guess he got tired of hearing me say, "when you get bigger", so he retaliated with "Don't worry mom, you can do it when you're littler."

My dad asked Landon if he was living in opposite land, and with a very serious look he responds, "No, actually I live on Giger Road in Highland from the state of Illinois."

Josh was trying to fix a lawn mower and was getting a little frustrated.  Landon was watching and told him, "You can do it daddy.  Busch boys are not quitters!"  (I had told him this earlier when he didn't want to keep riding his bike, so I guess he was listening!)  I think Josh spent an extra 1/2 hour longer than he wanted so he didn't "quit."

Landon's teacher at church told me he helped calm down a little boy that was upset in the class.  I told Landon I was proud of him and asked why the boy was crying.  Landon's response..."He missed his mom and dad, but I told him it would be okay and to forget about the past!"  Okay...too funny!

Recent goodnight prayer....Dear God, please do not let dogs poop anymore.  Amen!

Botanical Birthday

Labor Day was Mema Busch's birthday, so we spent the day at the Japanese festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the boys were perfect!  Landon even got to do some warm up exercises on the stage with the Sumo wrestlers!  He ran right up there, but once he saw the 600+ people in the audience - he looked a little intimidated, but he still did great!
The Birthday Lady is 59 years young.

They had these beautiful Japanese Koi flags hanging all over the gardens.

I thought these Mosaic flowers were really interesting.
They float on top of the water and look like mosaic pieces
put together - hmmm guess that's why they got their name.

First Day of Preschool

Landon all ready and excited about his first day of school.

Landon has always loved carrying backpacks, but now he is finally
big enough that a backpack actually fits him!

Walking to the school
He was so excited that they had cars.  He ran and gave me a hug and kiss and went right to playing!

After he had a few issues at school last year, I must say I was a little nervous about him starting again.  However, I got a great report that not only did he have a great day, but his teachers told me he was the most polite 3 year old they had ever had.  He always said please, thank you, excuse me, etc.  Woo-hoo!!  Must say that a compliment is SO much better to hear than the reports I was used to.  Yeah Landon!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

We went to the zoo and met up with my cousins.  Landon loves Atticus, my 6 year old cousin, and was copying everything he would do.  They remind me of each other and always have a blast hanging out.

The buddies kept walking together holding hands...so sweet!

Brody sports shades like his big bro.

He makes some silly faces...
