Two for the Price of One

The boys took their first bath together this week.  This was one reason I was happy to have children of the same gender, and boy did it cut my time down!  AND...Brody and Landon loved it!  YEah for water conservation :)

It's a bird...

it's a plane....no it's Landon's pretend spaceship!!  When I was looking for Landon he tells me, "Mom, don't worry - I'm just in my spaceship!"  AKA dryer    Maybe I can convince him the washer is a plane and I can do a quick wash and dry instead of the somewhat-daily bath routine!

When the children are away...the adults will play!!

As much as I love and
sometimes I need to get away for a little fun and relaxation with some great
We'll ride the bull....

or attempt to............

I made it...Jen was the only lady crazy enough to make it on her own:)

Visit some cool new places.....

Eat at great restaurants and meet some fun waiters....who will make anything to go (even the tiniest last bite of cake)

And help us to remember why we married these crazy boys....

What a great weekend we had!  Thanks to all who made it possible!!

Stuck in the....

Dining room chair!!  Landon for some reason loves to put his feet in the slots of our dining chairs.  I always tell him Landon you better be careful or you're going to get stuck.  Well, unfortunately I was right.  He put his foot/ankle through, and it took us almost 30 minutes to rescue him from the chair!  Hopefully now maybe he'll listen.............we can always hope!
This protruding ankle bone was the main cause of the struggle!

OTHER SILLY/CRAZY THINGS LANDON HAS DONE LATELY.....
- He comes up and drop kicks Josh really hard in the leg...pretty funny in person, but of course I don't laugh
& ask Landon why did you do that?  He matter of factly says-Well, I was pretending dad was a soccer ball.

- While swinging, mom will you push me...Not right now buddy - just pump your legs.  But maaoom, I can't go back and forest! (forth)

- Every time Brody touches one of his toys...."No Brody, sorry, but that is much too sharp for you to play with."  Thought it was sweet at first, but now know it's his tactic for not sharing.

- Whenever I ask him to do something he doesn't like...his new response - "I don't want to mom, I really just want to go to heaven.  Everything is perfect there!"

- I told him he couldn't watch a tv show, so he picks up my bible - "reads" it, then proceeds to tell me,  "God says I should watch a tv show."  Hmmm....what verse is that?  And how do you respond to that?  Furthermore you're 3 - what is this kid going to come up with when he's 13????

Two "P's" in a ship

My pirate and parrot rode through the Halloween festivities in style - with a pimped out wagon.  Josh and I decorated their wagon to be a pirate ship.  It turned out better than we expected and was great for trick or treating.  At least we had 3 events to go to, so the effort seemed worth it!  On Friday we went to the Trick or Treat Trail in downtown Highland - all the businesses give out candy and do a scavenger hunt.  Saturday we went trick or treating on Main Street in Edwardsville during the day and to some friends' and neighbors' houses Sat. evening.  We finished up with a Halloween party at the Riney's house and the parade on Sunday.  A very busy weekend with WAY TOO MUCH candy, but it was still a lot of fun!

LOVE Brody's Parrot Face

Met up with the Cochran's and Rudd's in Edwardsville....
Princess Delaney poses with her dance moves for the camera

Tyler was one "cool" shark

Who likes Candy??  Apparently Landon and Delaney do, but Harper and Lucas aren't so sure!

Love this picture of Tyler the sword-fighting shark

Princess Delaney is not so sure she wants to be rescued by a pirate

Look closely - my little parrot is sound asleep in the back....I thought birds slept upright??

Loved my first Halloween!!
