Christmas Play

Landon did great at his Christmas program this year.  He has been a little timid and shy in the past, but he was very animated and did great this year.  He even got to be in the front row since his teacher said he was singing and doing the motions so well!  Great job buddy!

Oh where oh where is the newborn king??

The boys are getting so long!

Branson with a capitol Brrrrr...

We recently went to Branson with my parents and boy was it COLD!  We had been in FL the prior week so that probably didn't help, but the wind chill was several degrees below 0.  Not the best time to go to Silver Dollar City and around Branson, but we still had a good time.
Evidence of the cold...Papa's glasses froze up with just a short trip out to the car

 Live Nativity Show

Landon's favorite ride...the hopping frogs
Poor Brods...so cold :(  Really looks like Santa with those rosy cheeks!
Landon decided to make  his bed in our closet...it was pretty cozy

Chihuly chandalier in one of the buildings...his work is soo amazing!
The Christmas decorations and lights were really beautiful at the park.  They had a night light parade also, but my camera was a little too frozen at that point for pics.

Budding Photographer

Landon has really been into taking pictures lately.  I didn't hear him get out of bed the other day and woke up to him taking a picture of me sleeping...we won't post that lovely photo, but here are some of the interesting shots he took.  I think he has some artistic potential.

I thought this was a very interesting picture!

He told me this was his impression of Buzz Lightyear.

Usher Boy

We had a Crave Christmas Movie night at our house and rented a popcorn machine, so I decided to make Landon the usher and serve the popcorn and treats to the students.  I even taught him to say, "Tips are not expected, but appreciated!"  He was so cute and had a great time "serving" with us!

The outfit - we have this CRAZY tie in our dress up bin

My little studmuffin

We had almost 40 people at our house!

Stadium seating on the stairs
Enjoying his "payment" in popcorn

Snow at 84 degrees Fahrenheit!

Yes - we got to see our first snow in Florida....Celebration, FL, that is.  This quaint little town has "snow" at 6, 7, and 8 every evening during the holiday season.  The main street is filled with snow machines and after telling the children to close their eyes and wish for snow, the snow begins pouring out with Christmas music playing in the background.  What a fun, beautiful night!  This seemed like a brief glimpse of heaven with all the children laughing, people smiling, and pure white all around.  My favorite vacation memory!
It's snowing!!

Throwing soapy "snowballs"

There was a Bohemian hotel right on the boardwalk by the lake.  I loved the decor - so funky and chic.

Great Advice in the Sky...

An airplane was showing some fancy writing skills while we were in Florida.....

Oops...

Even on vacation I apparently take much better care of the boys than myself.

Exhibit A:
I did not even notice I had two different sandals on until Landon told me something
was wrong with my shoes!  I even went to check in like this!

Exhibit B:
Look at this terrible sunscreen job!!

Ocean Firsts...

It was just a little over a week ago, but oh how'd I'd love to be back in this warm weather!  This was Brody's first trip to the beach and he loved the sand, water, and sounds.  He was a great boy and slept while his momma got some much needed R & R laying out.  Landon had been to the beach around 9 months of age, but this was his first experience swimming in the ocean.  He was very nervous and freaked out at first, but once we got him to try it - he did NOT want to leave.  He embraced the jumping in the waves and told me, "Mom, next time we go to the beach I will not be scared and just jump right in.  That was so fun!"
These brothers are GREAT daddies!!

Refusing to get in the water

After lots of convincing...he loves it!

I look up and notice someone had arranged all of the sandals into a neat line...........and the guilty party is.........

Uncle Jeff proudly admitting to slight OCD

Uncle Jeff feeds Landon to the sand alligator the guys made

Attempts at pics on the beach....lighting was PERfect that day, but unfortunately I can't say the same for the boys.

Showing off his clapping skills

Happy even though I just tried to eat sand for breakfast!

Workout anyone?  There was an awesome beach workout class doing all kinds of fun drills right on the beach.  I could be inspired to do that workout everyday!
