Botanical Birthday

Labor Day was Mema Busch's birthday, so we spent the day at the Japanese festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the boys were perfect!  Landon even got to do some warm up exercises on the stage with the Sumo wrestlers!  He ran right up there, but once he saw the 600+ people in the audience - he looked a little intimidated, but he still did great!

The Birthday Lady is 59 years young.

They had these beautiful Japanese Koi flags hanging all over the gardens.

I thought these Mosaic flowers were really interesting. 

They float on top of the water and look like mosaic pieces

put together - hmmm guess that's why they got their name.
